Today was one of those days I didn't feel super-productive. I couldn't quite find my groove. Maybe because it was a day free from the onslaught of deadlines, trouble shooting or damage control. Perhaps I should actually chalk it up to a good day. But I've noticed that I thrive on pressure. It fuels me and makes me feel like I've accomplished something.
In the middle of the day I took a break to hike Fryman canyon with my pooch, Brooklyn. She helps me find joy in even the simplest of things. It was so nice to be outdoors surrounded by nature and thoughts that didn't neccessarily revolve around t-shirts. And its great fun watching Brooklyn as she bounds ahead of me in pursuit of who knows what.
At the end of the day, I had to remind myself that success isn't in working 60 hours or more per week. Rather, success is enjoying life.
